AnalyticsUsage analysis, performance monitoring2 years
MarketingAdvertising measurement and conversion attribution (Meta Pixel)3 months

6.2 Managing Cookies and Consent

Where consent is required (including the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), analytics and marketing technologies stay OFF until you accept them via the consent banner on the website or the consent prompt in the mobile app. You can change your choices at any time on our Privacy Choices page or, in the mobile app, under Settings → Privacy Choices.

Most browsers also allow you to control cookies through settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use some features of our Service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active. After a deletion request your account is deactivated immediately; personal data (name, email, avatar, sign-in identifiers) is permanently removed within up to 90 days — a fraud-prevention and email-reuse-block window — after which remaining game records (settled predictions, leaderboard entries) exist only in irreversibly anonymized form, no longer linked to you
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized after 26 months
  • Legal Records: Retained as required by law (typically 7 years for financial records)
  • Newsletter Subscriptions: Until unsubscribed, then deleted within 30 days

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

  • Encryption: TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit; AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with salt
  • Access Controls: Role-based access, principle of least privilege
  • Infrastructure: Secure cloud hosting with regular security audits
  • Monitoring: Continuous monitoring for suspicious activities

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

To delete this chat data: open the conversation in Messenger, tap our Page name, and choose Delete Your Information — deletion is confirmed with a reference code. Alternatively, request deletion via our contact form and we will remove it within 30 days.

  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws.

When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Data Processing Agreements with all service providers
  • Encryption and security measures for data in transit and at rest

13. Children's Privacy

IMPORTANT: Our Service is NOT intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

14. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with the following third-party services. Where consent is required, the analytics and advertising tools below do not run until you accept them (see Section 6.2):

  • Google Sign-In: Authentication. We receive your email address, name, and profile picture (Google Privacy Policy applies)
  • Google Analytics 4: Usage analytics (pages viewed, features used, device information, approximate IP-derived location). Served through a first-party proxy; we do not store your full IP address in analytics
  • Meta Pixel & Conversions API (Meta Platforms): Advertising measurement. With your consent, event data plus hashed identifiers (email, first/last name) and a user ID are shared with Meta to measure ad performance. This is the "sharing" you can opt out of under CPRA (Section 10)
  • PostHog (EU-hosted): Product analytics, error diagnostics, and session replay. Replay records screen interactions (taps, scrolling, screens viewed) with all typed input masked; recordings are processed and stored in the EU
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Delivery of push notifications in the mobile app. Processes a device push token; you control notifications via the in-app settings and your device's OS settings
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: Abuse protection on our contact form
  • Camera / Photos (mobile app only): Optional avatar upload. The app accesses your camera or photo picker only when you choose to set a profile picture; the selected image is stored as your avatar and nothing else is read from your library
  • Cloud Hosting (Microsoft Azure): Infrastructure and data storage

These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date
  • Sending email notification for significant changes (if you have an account)

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
