Leyma Coruna won
Leyma Coruna vs Bilbao prediction: this ACB opener pairing sees a promoted side hosting a team that reached last season's playoffs, and the early gap in quality already looks significant. Both teams played their season openers on September 26, with a full week of rest since, so fatigue and travel are non-factors here.
Leyma Coruna opened with a 101-119 road loss to Barcelona, conceding heavily against elite competition. Bilbao, meanwhile, dismantled Manresa 107-92 at home, showing the offensive firepower that makes them a quarter-finals contender in the ACB standings.
The head-to-head history strongly favors the visitors too, with Bilbao winning the last two meetings between these clubs, including a comfortable 79-100 road win in Coruna back in December 2024. That pattern of Bilbao performing well even away from home supports another difficult night for the hosts.
With a 13-place gap in position and a points-per-game differential clearly favoring Bilbao, this looks like a spread game rather than a coin-flip moneyline bet. Expect Bilbao to control tempo and pull away in the second half, while the total should climb given both sides' willingness to trade baskets. Bilbao -7.5 and an Over on the total look like the sharper angles for basketball betting tips this week.

Bilbao have won all four recent meetings between these clubs, including both matchups within the last two seasons. The most recent, a 79-100 road win for Bilbao in December 2024, illustrates their comfort winning away from home against this opponent. Even the closer 2025 playoff-adjacent meeting saw Bilbao control the second half. This head-to-head trend, combined with Bilbao's superior roster depth, reinforces the case for the visitors covering the spread again in Coruna.

Leyma Coruna enter this game off a 101-119 road loss to Barcelona in their season opener, conceding 119 points against elite competition. That defensive output is concerning heading into a home game against another quality opponent. With seven days of rest and no fatigue concerns, there are no scheduling excuses, but the underlying talent gap remains the bigger issue. The active roster shows no reported absences, so this is a clean look at the team's true form. Coruna will need a much sharper defensive performance at home to stay competitive, particularly given their historical struggles against Bilbao in recent head-to-head meetings.

Bilbao opened the season with an emphatic 107-92 home win over Manresa, scoring efficiently while limiting a divisional rival to under 100 points. Sitting first in the early ACB table with a plus-15 goal differential, Bilbao look like one of the league's strongest sides out of the gate. Seven days of rest mirror their opponent's schedule, removing any fatigue edge either way. Their active roster is fully available, and this is now a road trip against a team they've beaten in each of the last two meetings. Bilbao's balanced scoring output suggests they can sustain their form away from home.

Leyma Coruna vs Bilbao - Match Analysis
Bilbao look like the stronger side based on their opening win, the 13-place position gap, and a decisive recent head-to-head record. Covering 7.5 points is reasonable against a Coruna team that just conceded 119 points to Barcelona. With both teams fully rested, this becomes a straightforward quality matchup, making Bilbao the safer point spread analysis choice this week.
Given a combined goals-per-game figure of 208.0 from both teams' openers, the over-under prediction leans toward the Over. Bilbao's offense looked sharp against Manresa, while Coruna also put up 101 points despite the loss. Neither team showed strong defensive form in week one, supporting a higher-scoring total in this matchup.
Both teams enter with seven days of rest and no back-to-back concerns, so schedule fatigue is not a differentiating factor here. This means the outcome should hinge purely on roster quality and recent form rather than tiredness or travel. That neutral rest situation strengthens confidence in Bilbao's underlying talent advantage translating to a comfortable performance.
